Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of
The “Original” Las Casuelas Restaurant

“Bien venidos, amigos!” This is the kind of warm welcome you’ll recieve at the Original Las Casuelas Restaurant in downtown
Palm Springs. Celebrating their 50th Anniversary in the same location founded by the late Maria and Florencio “Del” Delgado in 1958.

The Original Las Casuelas now owned by Florence Delgado, remembers how she grew up in the restaurant business... waiting tables, bussing dishes or operating the cash register. This taught her hard work ethics, attention to customers and attention to detail in the kitchen. She is now handing down these ethics to her daughter Alana, who now manages the restaurant.

In the early days The Original Las Casuelas became a haunt for the Hollywood crowd from Elizabeth Taylor, George Montgomery, Bob Hope, Dinah Shore and even President
Dwight Eisenhower became a regular customer (he was a Coachella Valley resident after leaving office) and would sit in the same booth, that is still there.

From the original family recipes, unique specialty dishes and lighter vegetarian selections are prepared with only the freshest ingredience.

Other restaurants, owned and operated by Delgados, include Las Casuelas Terrazza in Palm Springs, owned by sister, Patty Delgado; Las Casuelas Nuevas in Rancho Mirage, owned by brother, Joaquin Delgado, who also owns Casuelas Café in Palm Desert; and Robert Delgado’s Las Casuelas Quinta in La Quinta.
